I’m again a few months late in posting it here, but I made an AMV! An actual AMV, not a video game or CGI-movie “AMV.” It’s my first AMV in a decade in fact!
Teenage me would be so happy to have every episode of Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood at a reasonable video quality, ready for AMV-making. That Emily would be making so many AMVs right now… and they would all be to Static-X and Nine Inch Nails songs. ๐ I made so many Static-X and Nine Inch Nails AMVs in the mid-2000s…
I’m glad my music tastes moved on. My love for FMA, however, is eternal. To this AMV’s detriment, I can’t get the images from the original FMA out of my head (SO MANY AMVs I’VE MADE!). Despite FMA:B looking prettier and having a modern aspect ratio, I couldn’t leave FMA out of it in honor of my younger self, who would perform human transmutation to have so much FMA footage.
This actually isn’t the AMV I was planning to make, so next year and next OokiiSoraCon, I’ll have another chance to use all this FMA footage. Maybe I’ll even upgrade to modern Adobe Premiere. I realized Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 is 15 years old when it dawned on me that its “YouTube HD” rendering setting defaults to an aspect ratio of 1280 x 720. Yes… very HD.
